Cosmetic Dentistry
Sometimes, a dental concern is negatively affecting the look of your mouth, while the treatment is not medically necessary for function. In this kind of scenario, cosmetic dentistry comes into play. This type of dentistry includes a variety of treatments that improve the appearance of your smile and boost your self-confidence. While these procedures may not be necessary, many of them strengthen your teeth and improve the quality of your life. They often go far beyond cosmetics to offer major benefits to health and function. The results of these treatments tend to be very rewarding.
We are able to provide an array of cosmetic dentistry services at Stellar Family Dental. There are many types of cosmetic dentistry techniques that you could take advantage of. Be open with us about your hopes and goals so we can achieve the smile you want.
Full Mouth Reconstruction
We usually recommend complex full-mouth rehabilitation when patients have multiple problems in their mouths. We help people who are suffering from gum disease, discoloration, tooth decay, crooked teeth, and other problems, usually all at the same time.
Before we start your rehabilitation, we will need to do a thorough examination with X-rays to determine what treatments you will need. Since every mouth is different, we create a treatment plan just for you.
Smile Makeover
Here at Stellar Family Dental, we are proud to help our patients get the smile they deserve. We perform teeth whitening, along with other cosmetic procedures like veneers and tooth implants.
Our goal
…to give you a healthy and happy mouth. We work with our patients to ensure their happiness and a smile they can be proud of.
Each smile makeover is customizable, depending on your needs and wants. We start by doing a thorough examination and x-rays. We look at the color of your teeth and how they are lined up. We check to see if there are any missing teeth or if any are cracked, chipped, or broken. Then, we can determine how we best can help you. We will be happy to discuss all of your options so you can be comfortable in your decision.
If you have any questions about how we can help your smile, feel free to contact us today.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin pieces that go over teeth to cover problem spots and create an enhanced version of your smile. This treatment is a smart option when you have discoloration that cannot be fixed with whitening or when there is damage. It’s also possible to use them if you’re unhappy with the shape or look of your natural teeth. We can make the color of the veneer fit with your other teeth.

Dentures can provide a positive solution to improving your oral health when you have missing teeth and a loss of proper oral function and health. At Stellar Family Dental, we help figure out your denture needs, provide the dentures and educate you on denture care. We are with you during every part of the process.
When Are Dentures Needed?
We often suggest dentures to our Kissimmee & Melbourne patients when they have lost a full row of teeth or all of the teeth. This is when a full denture or a complete set of dentures is needed. Nonetheless, partial dentures are also an option when you lose a small number of teeth, while keeping stable teeth for the denture to attach to. We provide dentures that are designed to fit your unique mouth for proper function and comfort. People tend to quickly get used to the feel of dentures as if they were natural teeth.
We often suggest conventional dentures to provide durability. Nonetheless, this is not the only option available to you. For instance, you could instead choose dental implants to have permanent teeth you wouldn’t need to remove. We can perform a thorough exam and talk to you about your options to work together on determining the right solution.
Benefits of Dentures
Dentures help your mouth have proper function when the loss of teeth is impairing your ability to talk and eat. While many people think dentures greatly limit what they can eat and drink, this solution significantly broadens your options compared to having missing teeth. Dentures improve oral health as there are now teeth in place to protect the gums from food particles that can turn into tooth decay and gum disease. And not only do dentures add function, they also improve the look of your smile and help you feel more confident.
At Stellar Family Dental, we aim to offer this type of restorative dental care in as affordable a manner as possible to help you restore the look and function of your mouth. To get an assessment to see if dentures could improve your oral health, contact us to make an appointment.
Denture Partials
A removable partial denture is an optimal solution for patients who may be missing one or more teeth in a particular area of their mouth. Removable partial dentures are attached to a gum-colored base which may have a metal framework that helps to hold it in place against the surrounding teeth. These dentures serve to replace missing teeth, restore functionality, and generally improve oral health. When a tooth is lost, and the gap isn’t immediately filled, it can lead to the neighboring teeth to shift; this can create a significant change in your bite and can even cause long-term damage to your gums and jaw bone.
To begin treatment, we will determine if removable partial dentures are the best option for you. Factors such as oral hygiene, the location of the missing tooth gap(s), bone strength, and long-term viability for dentures all determine your treatment plan. Our team will start by taking dental impressions of your teeth which will serve as the mold used to create your dentures. Next, we will review the size, shape, and coloring of each replacement tooth to recreate your natural smile. Once these are determined, we send the molds to a dental lab which creates a mock-up partial denture for you.
During a fitting appointment with our team, we will have you test out the mock-ups to check how they fit, look, and feel in your mouth. This is the time you and our team will make adjustments to the fit or color of the teeth before sending the mock-ups back to the lab for alterations. Remember, your absolute honesty is needed as your feedback shapes the final removable partial denture you will be receiving. Once the final changes have been made to the mock-up, the lab will custom build your dentures. After we receive the final design, your last fitting session will be to make small adjustments for comfort, bite, or fit which can all be made in-house by our team.
Porcelain Crowns
Dental crowns are permanent prosthetics that cover a damaged tooth. A dentist might use them in place of a large filling, when a tooth is weak or fractured, or in some other cases. Your dentist will decide whether a crown is the best solution to your dental concern. At Stellar Family Dental, we provide comprehensive dental exams to figure out your needs and the best type of treatment. If a dental crown is the answer, we are able to provide this service here in our office.
Benefits of Dental Crowns
We might recommend crowns if your teeth are weak, damaged or cracked to the point that they cannot be fixed in other ways, such as with fillings. While you might have pain and difficulty eating with a current tooth problem, a crown provides a strong new tooth that will contribute to better oral health. In addition, many people are suffering from a lack of confidence from tooth problems and don’t even smile anymore. A cosmetic dental crown provides the look of a real tooth to give you back your best smile and your self-esteem.
We understand that many people are nervous about the idea of getting a crown. Nonetheless, a crown tends to prevent tooth damage from worsening, which eventually leads to the need for an extraction. At that point, you would need a more extensive dental solution than a crown. With a crown, you gain back the look and function of a real tooth in its healthiest condition, improving your life and health overall.
About Dental Crowns
We have different crown materials to choose from. If the crown is going in the back of the mouth where it won’t be seen as much, we might consider a crown of metal alloy, gold or acrylic, which tend to be strong. For a prominent tooth, we would probably use porcelain or ceramic to match the color of the rest of your teeth. Nonetheless, another option is to provide added strength and beauty with the combination of porcelain over a metal shell. We can discuss the different materials with you and lend our expertise to find the best balance of price, strength and attractiveness in each situation.
The purpose of dental crowns is to bring back the function of your mouth, while they also improve appearance. This procedure helps restore your mouth to a pre-damage state of health. People tend to get used to a crown quickly and feel like it is simply another one of their natural teeth. Through general dentistry services, we can help prevent this kind of damage from happening to other teeth, minimizing the need for additional crowns.

Invisalign
Here at Stellar Family Dental, we are proud to offer Invisalign®.
Invisalign® is popular because the aligners are clear, so most people don’t even know you are wearing anything unless you tell them.
Invisalign® is a wonderful alternative treatment to braces. You can straighten your teeth without us putting metal in your mouth. Instead, we use plastic trays (also known as aligners) to move your teeth back into place. Each aligner is custom made to fit your mouth so you don’t have to worry about mouth irritation.
Since the aligners are removable, they are easier to keep clean. You can also continue to brush and floss your teeth without having to try to avoid harming your braces. It is also nice because you can eat whatever you want.
If you have considered straightening your teeth but don’t want to bother with braces, don’t hesitate to contact us today.

Here at Stellar Family Dental, we are proud to offer dental bonding to our patients. Many people are unhappy with their smiles because they have cracked, broken, or decayed teeth. We can help if you have this problem. Dental bonding is used to change the shape and size of your teeth, giving you a uniform smile that looks natural.
Dental bonding can also be used on cavities and is also commonly used for receding gums. It protects the teeth that are exposed since they are not meant to be out.

Dental bonding is a procedure in which we apply a plastic material over the top of your tooth. We then use a special light to harden the plastic so that it bonds to your tooth. The material we use can be matched to your natural tooth color so that it looks natural!
